“The Spinny Thing”

Imagine a person showing up pulling a trailer with 3 large rings on it, with the largest ring being 12 foot in diameter, asking if you can make him exactly what he has on his trailer.  He’s stated that’s he’s been calling around and asking people, but nobody can do it.   After a few weeks of study, we commit to making one.  While we had never made one before, we felt we could do it, since our company thrives on solving customer problems.  After a few weeks of taking dimensions, creating drawings, analyzing mechanical attributes, developing a manufacturing model, we constructed our first “Spinny Thing”.   As part of our commitment to our customer we are now recommending additional design and reliability changes.  This will allow our customer to deploy the “Spinny Thing” to international customers.
